Preschool (3 - 4 yrs)

Preschool education is an essential step on the path to kindergarten, with hands\0xADon activities and planned cognitive learning experiences.

We embrace children's individual smarts.

Our exclusive Learning Care System™ digital curriculum offers lesson plans that are generated based on each child's developmental needs and milestones, resulting in a customized, personalized curriculum.

Inspired by Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory, we focus on the full development of each individual child and recognize how they learn different subjects in different ways, utilizing their intelligences, or "smarts." We have eight Tutor Time "Smarts" including words, numbers, music, nature, and feelings.

Now is the time to truly start discovering the world. What better place to start than at Tutor Time? Our exclusive Tutor Time® LifeSmart™ curriculum was designed to encourage exploration and embrace all the different ways that children excel. Aligned with standards set forth by national accrediting associations, this curriculum helps children expand on their own unique gifts or “smarts.” And it works: a recent kindergarten readiness study showed that in just six months, children in our program made educational gains usually expected after a full year.

Our program provides children with the developmental and educational skills needed for a successful transition into kindergarten and beyond.

Grocery shopping in our Tutor Towne™ Village, reading and sharing stories, building models and towers, learning a new dance – all of these are ways to reinforce concepts. And while this is the time that teachers introduce a more structured environment, we still set aside plenty of time for self-directed play and experimentation.

Example Of A Preschooler’s Day...

8:00 a.m. — Your son pecks you on the cheek and rushes to join his friends in the Block Center.

9:15 a.m. — During Nature Circle Time, the group examines peacock, sea gull and ostrich feathers, then they draw a picture of their own feathery flock.

10:15 a.m. — Active Investigation Time! Your son “cooks” breakfast in the Pretend Center then heads for the Art Center.

10:40 a.m. — It’s a tricycle race! All the kids cheer each other on.

11:10 a.m. — In the Tutor Towne™ Village your son practices sorting and stacking as he delivers the Tutor Towne mail.

11:30 p.m. — How do muscles work? During Circle Time the class learns by doing an experiment with rubber bands. Then, they talk about muscles, fitness and health.

12:05 p.m. — A healthy, hearty lunch — YUM!

12:35 p.m. — Soothing sounds of waves and rain play in the background as your son naps.

3:15 p.m. — Today, your son shares a favorite book from home — “The Three Pigs” with a twist!

3:40 p.m. — Outside! Ladders, slides — what to choose?

4:25 p.m. — In the Language Center, your son dictates an original story while his teacher records it in his journal.

5:50 p.m. — “What did you learn today?” Your son can’t wait to tell you!
